Contains company correspondence with grain dealers, suppliers of burlap bags and drying machines, the Association Against Prohibition Amendment and Nicholas Longworth III (concerning Canadian dumping of grain mash on the U.S. market). Includes receipts, blueprints, contracts, etc. dealing with capital equipment installations, plant expansion and maintenance repair costs. The collection, which spans from 1907 to 1935, also includes the personal correspondence and receipts of F.L. Emmert, Jr. His letters to his parents in the early 1930s reveals the depression's impact on the company and the family.

Originally founded as a saloon in 1881 by Savior Maier and F.L. Emmert, the company changed its business focus to processing brewery by- products in order to take advantage of the successful Cincinnati brewing industry.
